Back-to-School Event

The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is hosting a back-to-school event on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Macon County students and their families will be able to receive vaccines needed to enter into kindergarten, 6th, and 12th grade; a lead test; and/or a COVID-19 vaccine/booster for the entire family (6 months and older).


Who: Macon County students and their families  

Where: Macon County Health Department, 1221 E. Condit St., Decatur, IL 62521

When: Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


*Parents and Guardians: Please bring an insurance card and records, if possible.


Appointments are not required to attend this event. However, the event will work on a first-come, first-served basis. If a person is not able attend this event, please call 217-423-6988 ext. 1100 to schedule an appointment. The MCHD encourages those needing the required back-to-school vaccines to not wait until the school’s denial date.


The MCHD is considered a health care facility and masks are required in our building.
