FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 25, 2022 Sexually Transmitted Infection Clinic The Macon County Health Department, in partnership with Crossing Healthcare, will begin to offer sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing on Wednesdays starting May 4th. STI testing is confidential. We will be able test for: HIV, Hep C, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Bacterial Vaginosis, Yeast, Trichomonas, and Herpes Simplex outbreak treatments. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 22, 2022 Macon County Health Department COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Opportunities The Macon County Health Department will continue to hold COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Moving forward, you may find COVID-19 vaccination clinic information on our website at www.maconchd.org or by visiting our Facebook page. The following clinic opportunities are available next week. Please make note of specific age requirements for these clinics. A person should not attend a vaccine clinic if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 Location: Macon County Health Department, 1221 E Condit Street, Decatur, IL 62521 Time: 8:30-11:30 a.m. Vaccine Type: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – 1st, 2nd and booster doses Clinic Type: Appointment preferred; walk-ins accepted. Second dose appointments will be scheduled during your first dose appointment, if needed. Persons are eligible for booster doses if they received their 2nd dose at least: 5 months prior for Moderna (18+) and Pfizer (12+) 2 months prior for Johnson and Johnson (18+) Persons might qualify for a second booster dose of either Pfizer or Moderna if they are 50 years of age or older and it has been at least four months since their last booster dose. ###
